The National Weather Service is still forecasting high tides, possibly accompanied by heavy rain, for the Puget Sound coastal areas of Pierce County. Minor coastal flooding is expected with inundation of up to 2.0 - 2.5 feet above ground level. These conditions are expected during high tides along shorelines and low-lying coastal areas.
SAFETY TIPS If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth. Make sure gutters and storm drains around your home are clear of debris.
